.. Sadly, Ms. Brunel doesn't really hear the soilder quite just yet. Why? Because, well, despite being dressed up in her finest outfit -- which doesn't really look that different from what she usually wears, really, except that the material seems to be made of a shinier stuff -- Because, well. "Ooo, Lloyd, look at that painting, it's so pretty! Wow, I wish I had a pretty dress like that. It would be so nice." Because the waiting antichamber is filled with nifty Palace type stuff, and Colette, as usual, is mesmerised by the pretty things. Raine Sage is sitting to one side in the room, reading a book - 'Modern History of Videoland'. She's dressed in her usual outfit, though out of a vague sense of respect she did try and wash it, leaving it slightly wrinkled and what appears to be a slight iron-shaped burn mark on the back of the cloak. Hearing the soldier, she stands, sighing. "Shall we go, then?" Well well. The Palace of Power. He'd asked for an audience from a pleasant young woman that he had met there a short time ago, and perhaps they were finally going to get one. And in anticipation of meeting a reputably beautiful princess, Zelos has dressed his best - a black coat, black trousers, white ruffle at his throat and a blue sash around his waist. His hair is contained - its the only real word for it - in a long ponytail held in blade by a small black clasp down near his waist, and his customary headband is missing. His sword is still, however, at his side, although the hilt is bound in a peace ribbon, intricately knotted and worked around the cross guard and sheath. Smiling roguishly, the Chosen of Tethe'alla bows to the guard, before looking around at his traveling companions. "I believe that we are ready, as soon as everyone collects themselves. Please extend my gratitude to the Princess for allowing us a few moments of her time - I'm certain they won't be wasted." Wink. Genis Sage is standing next to raine, wearing his usual outfit. To be fair, his hair has been neatly combed, and he's carrying his flashiest-looking kendama. "I guess it's time for us to head on in." He shrugs, calmly, and starts to follow his sister. Standing by Colette is the young, twin blade swordsman. He has on a nice, white suit, with elegant red decor trimming it at various points. A pair of belts are at his waist, crisscrossed, and holding the sheathed weapons at each side. He looks up at the painting when Colette speaks up, though unlike the Chosen, he has heard the guard. "...it's really pretty, Colette... but... I don't think we should keep everyone waiting." He sets a hand on her shoulder, gently, before directing her towards where everyone else is headed. Oh yes, mental note. Mug Zelos for his real clothes later when he doesn't /need/ this outfit. ...that or sic more angry, killer bees after him. ~.~ BZZZZZ. Sheena Fujibayashi looks at the picture, and snorts a little. "I don't know how any woman could ever be comfortable in an outfit like that." Nevermind that's besides the point. Restriction of movement isn't good for ninjas. And it looks much too stuffy. Insistant on being ready 'just in case' something happens (like getting doublecrossed -again-, though hopefully that won't happen), she's still wearing the same outfit as she usually does. Though Sheena did tidy up her robes a bit, and apparently had better look at it than Raine did, too. "Yeah, let's get going. It's usually not a good thing to keep royalty waiting..." She just glares a bit at Zelos, but for once his famboyance isn't really out of place. The party is led in a most ceremonious fashion into the royal audience chamber, where six Mushroom People snap to attention, bordering the long red carpet that leads to the golden throne where Princess Lana sits, smiling, waiting. There's still a hint of pink to her cheeks left over from Kevin's visit, but they don't need to know the why's of that. WINK! Their guide moves to stand opposite what must be his exact twin...imagine that!...on the side of the door, allowing the visitors to proceed in their own fashion. "Welcome to the Palace of Power," Lana greets them warmly, inclining her head. "I'm Princess Lana." Duh. Colette is easily duck-lead into the collection of everyone heading in to see the Princess after much apologies, sticking close to Lloyd without seeming clingy to him. Because, well. This is all very new, and she's supposed to stay close to her Body Guards! Her eyes widen slightly at the Mushroom guards. Ooo. They look almost like some of the creatures they've encountered at home! .. But she doesn't speak until, of course, Lana announces herself. Then she gasps in surprise. Wow. Lana is.. So different. She blushes embaressedly, before she clears her throat, steps forward, and bows. "Princess Lana, it is a great pleasure to meet you. I am Colette Brunel, and these, uh, these are my friends and uhm, guards." She nods, turning to look to the rest of the groupe hopefully. She's doing this right, isn't she? As embassador of their world, she's supposed to greet first, right? Raine Sage puts her book into a pocket rather absently, staying towards the back of the group and watchng Lana carefully, worry lines creasing across her face. She's not convinced in the least that this is a good idea, but Raine is willing to go along with the will of the group. After arguing against it, first. It is the Chosen's journey, however. Raine will follow her lead, like it or not. On the off chance that Lloyd might try to introduce them before he gets the chance, Zelos strides up and offers Lana a polite bow, his tail of hair falling over his shoulder for a moment before being flipped back behind him as he straightens. He looks over at Collete, and smiles. "Very nice, my cute little angel, <3" he comments, before looking back to Lana. "We are the representatives of the worlds of Tethe'alla and Sylvarant - I am the chosen of Tethe'alla, Zelos Wilder - and this is my companion, the Chosen of Sylvarant, Colette." A grin, and he turns to introduce everyone else who is with them. "This is Professor Raine Sage, of Sylvarant, a very talented archeologist, and the lovely young woman who is with her is Sheena Fujibayashi, of the Tethe'alla ninja clans. And the rest are just some guys we ran into who are tagging along with us." After shooting his customary dirty look at Zelos, Genis bows with surprising grace for his age. "My name is Genis Sage, Your Highness." He leaves the rest to Collete for now, not out of shyness, but because he isn't sure how palace etiquette works in introductions. He does offer a wink, however. Aww, isn't he just cute. You see- Lloyd's world was never very fancy. This is probably because it's the declining side of the two worlds. The fanciest place he had seen was the palace in Meltokio. He falls short of staying at Colette's side, his eyes widening at the audience chamber. He takes in a bit of a small breath, until he realizes that Colette's walked on without him. Wait...! The boy suddenly hurries forward to walk alongside the Chosen of Sylvarant, his left hand is settled on the left sword, his right hanging at his side. He continues to look about the area, his dark eyes settling on the Mushroom People while walking past them... and he blinks, finding himself at a loss of words when hearing Lana speak up. "Um..... Hi." The young swordsman says. He's not very good with words, as he has just obviously proven. Though... he stops, then looks towards Zelos, after hearing the Chosen of Tethe'alla speak. There's a bit of a grumble before he speaks up a little louder. "I'm Lloyd Irving." He pauses, trying to find the right words to say. "I've been travelling with Colette for awhile, now... so... I guess I'm a guard to her, in a sense..." He laughs quietly before shutting up now. Sheena Fujibayashi squints at the mushroom folk slightly as they walk in, having a similar thought as to how they resemble Macroid and Minicoid monsters. But after the encounter with Ruby and her Whismur the other night, has learned not to get defensive just because something looks like it might be a monster. The summoner just folds her arms, letting the others do the talking at first. And watching Zelos, in case he gets out of line with the Princess. Last thing they need is him trying to get too... personal. Princess Lana grins. They're an awfully cute bunch, no doubt about it. Cute in the girly sense of the word, meaning endearing and adored. "It's very nice to meet you all," she declares honestly. Oh that Zelos guy is a smoothie. And the others seem awfully sweet. "I hope your journey was pleasant. Videoland can be quite unsettling for newcomers, but in time, you'll find that it's easy to adjust. I promise." And now that the general introduction formalities are complete... "I'm sure you must have a lot of questions. Feel free to ask them, and I shall answer them as best I can." A trio of small mushroom retainers toddle up with a pitcher of water and glasses in hand, pouring drinks for the weary travelers. Questions? They had questions? Well, that was a new one. Really, Zelos was more than willing to introduce himself, and... Oh wait, there was that. Time to get that taken care of first. "Your highness, the first thing that I would like to do is extend the warmest greetings from the King of Tethe'alla, and extend his hopes that there will be a bright and peaceful future between our nations, yadda yadda, and all the usual stuff that goes along with these sorts of diplomatic greetings. Its pretty boring, and I'm sure that we could both think of something more entertaining to do," the Chosen adds, winking conspiratorially. "But it was my Bud here..." And he points his thumb over his finger to Lloyd, "...who has the high minded ideals and wanted to ask some questions - probably should let him start." Giving Colette open floor for questions may just be as dangerous as making eyes back at Zelos. Colette turns a wonderful shade of rose in the cheeks when Zelos introduces her, trying to retain a soft giggle at his entreating nickname for her, before she clears her throat when Lana announces they may ask questions. "Well, I, er, had a few questions," She says, softly, likely causing ominous music somewhere to play, before she adds, "I uh, I suppose I should uhm, let someone ask something first though," She says, with an apologetic look. ".. Lloyd? Raine? Genis? Any of you want to ask questions?" She queries. Before she uhs, at being handed a glass of drink. Er. Oh dear. She .. Politely takes a sip, but otherwise just holds the glass. .. And then turns another shade of rose alltogether at Zelos. She shoots a look to Sheena. Trying to be subtle in -begging- her not to do what she's pretty sure will come next.. Raine Sage says "I'll hold my questions to later, I think..." She offers Lana a small, tight smile, but stays mostly quiet. And Zelos manages to introduce her in a nice, flattering, and not too detailed way. That's more or less how she'd like to be introduced. "You go ahead, Colette, or anyone else who has any." She'll let Sheena smack Zelos if she wants. He probably deserves it for something. Sheena Fujibayashi could do as she usually does when Zelos acts up, and smack him on the back of the head or some such. However, that would likely cause a scene, and wouldn't look very good for the diplomatic intentions for the meeting. So she'll refrain, for now. "Zelos. Questions now, make googly eyes at the royalty later when we're not trying to make a good first impression," snaps the ninja curtly instead. Hey, she was only refraining from hitting him, not from keeping him from getting too out of line. Genis Sage has the floor? Or has been offered the floor? Uh-oh. He clears his throat...and then declines, in his friend's favor. "I'll let Lloyd start, too." Okay, letting Lloyd field the questions might not be the wisest choice, but starting off with questions regarding the physics of magic in other zones might just make things more confusing. Besides, Lloyd does have people skills! "Ah...!" Lloyd blinks as Zelos points in his direction, then he quickly looks up at Lana, freezing a bit. The 'deer caught in the headlights' syndrome, pretty much. He looks a bit shellshocked at this before he looks from Colette, then to Zelos, and around to the others. He doesn't even seem to realize that he's being offered a glass of water- at least, until he hears a soft 'ahem' next to him. The boy takes the cup, looking a bit sheepish and holding it in both hands. "I think..." He stumbles a bit- he's so not used to this. He takes a deep breath before he fists his left hand, bringing it up to his chest. Well- this isn't surprising from him in the slightest. He just dives into what he is worried about with any formalities to play around with, "Is our home safe because of this war we keep hearing about?" A good question. A tough one, too. "I wish I could give you a definite answer on that," Lana purses her lips, her chin resting upon her knuckles as she leans forward. "You have nothing to fear from the Palace of Power. We won't go where we're uninvited, though with your permission, I would very much like to know more about where you come from." Most likely Lady A had already taken a peek as was her custom, but it never hurt to do things the right way, thoroughly and diplomatically. "I can give you warning, however, that if there are objects of power available, you must keep absolutely silent about them." Lana looks worried as she states this portion of her answer. "Mother Brain and her forces are always searching for such things, and will take them by force and intimidation. It's best if she never learns about them in the first place." Zelos remains quiet for the time being, deciding to let Lloyd do the talking. He has his own views on things, and he'll chime in when the time is right. For the most part, this was going pretty much as he expected. If it kept going that way... Well, he must be a genius or something in that case! Objects of Power. Colette falls somewhat silent for several moments, staring into the glass of water clasped in her hands. Well, at least the water seems to be allright. And for the moment, she's pretty sure that odd feeling in her stomach is the butterflies one commonly associates with new meetings and odd situations. She murmurs, "Objects of power.." To herself, before she ohs. She'd probably do her best to speak. "Well, Princess Lana, I'm quite sure we uh, we will have no problem, either those of us from Sylverant, or those of us from Tethe'alla, will have any problem with you coming to visit! It would be quite nice, in fact, I think! .. Er, don't.. Don't you, Lloyd?" She says, looking to the swordsman with some measure of uncertainty. "Then you understand why we haven't said much about our home area publicly yet." Sometimes Sheena really hates it when her hunchs are right, like that one about people finding out too much. Not that it stopped people from finding the warps eventually, just hopefully the wrong people. She shifts position a bit, left hand going to rest on her hip, the other just sort of at her side at first. "It's not that we don't -want- to see interactions, it's just..." She trails off for the moment, glances towards Lloyd and wondering how much of a right they really have to say in such matters. Or how much they should be saying at all. "... This aren't exactly peace and quiet for us, either." Raine Sage says, before Lloyd or someone else not even thinking about things brings up the exspheres, "...We have no objects of power. Our world is definately desolate compared to those I've seen since leaving... We have enough problems in our own worlds without adding others." Raine will smack anyone who contridicts her on that, though she's managing to lie without blinking an eye. Heeey..that ain't the truth! That ain't the truth at all! Why, Sylvarant and Tethe'alla have Exspheres, Cruxis Crystals, elemental beings..."Um, actually, Your Highness..." Then, through some kind of Little Brother ESP, he senses that Raine probably doesn't want to let them in on that. Lying to the Princess seems a bit suspect, but...well, making it clear that Raine was fibbing will make it even more suspect. "....We'd be happy to have you visit us sometime, as desolate as our world is," he manages instead. Princess Lana inclines her head to Sheena after bestowing a smile to Colette. The little blonde really was endearing. Reminded her of Flonne, after a sense. "I do understand," she replies. "It's only natural to want protection for your home and family. Everyone desires that." Her smile turns sad, but only for a few moments. "If that's true, then I'm certain you won't have much to worry about." Mother Brain IS bent on conquest, but Lana still hopes she'll turn a blind eye to their worlds if there's nothing of interest that would attract her. Seeing that the formality seems to be a little unnerving to those gathered, the princess stands from her throne and steps down from the dais, approaching the heroes with a light-footed grace. "Why don't we adjourn to the conference room?" she invites. "I'm sure you had a long journey, we can talk just as easily sitting down." Two Hylian guards stand to attention, ready to open the oak double doors if Lana gives them the nod. Objects of power. Lloyd remains deathly silent at this point. He lowers his head, letting his hand fall from where it was at his chest- so that he can clasp his glass of water in both of them. It's a good thing he has the glass to worry about at the moment- he'd probably give it away by looking at his exsphere. He does catch the look from Raine, but out of the corner of his eyes. As a result, the boy just focuses on his glass, thinking about the exsphere on his hand. There are plenty of other things that can be brought up with the exspheres, but- he finds it safe to say nothing about them at the point. Safe from what? People trying to learn about them? Or safe from Professor Sage? Let's just say.... /yes/. He blinks upon realizing that Colette was speaking to him. He looks at her in surprise, then up to Princess Lana. "Um... Sure, I guess..." Pause. He leans forward slightly to whisper to the blonde Chosen. "...what am I agreeing to again?" "To tell you the truth, the major reason I came here is to see if you could figure out a way to seal up our world and keep anyone else from wandering into it. I hate to sound isolationist here, but we've got more problems than benefits, and the only thing that being a part of Videoland at large is going to do for us is cause more troubles and make us lose more innocent lives than we are already," Zelos points out, using his most reasonable tone of voice. "I know you're going to give us the whole 'I'm sure that we can find some way to benefit each other' line, and its all nice and good, but for the most part, there's nothing that you can do to help us out, and not a lot you can offer us. Really, I think the best thing you could do is try and find a way to protect yourself from our world, and barricade us away from everything out there." Colette Brunel offers back to Lloyd in a soft whisper, "To let Princess Lana visit us in Sylverant! I see no harm in it, and Zelos really seems to like her! Maybe it'll distract him from Sheena!" Colette reasons! .. Of course, there goes everyone else, squashing any chance she'd hoped of for making other friends, y'know. She ohs, softly, to Raine, and Genis, and Zelos.. Well. She looks back to her hands, and takes another sip od water. Because the water is actually sort of nice! .. And because she's honestly trying not to make a scene. Princess Lana looks at Zelos for a long, silent moment. Then, reluctantly, she shakes her head. "Would that we had such power," she sighs. "It would solve so many problems, but I'm afraid we don't have that option available to us." She folds her hands together at her waist. "I don't want to pressure you into an alliance," she shakes her head, the waves of brown hair shifting with the movement. "But if you need our help, you have it." Her blue eyes rest upon Lloyd, and she smiles. "It's the least we can do after the aid this young man," her hand moves to rest on his shoulder, "aided our forces in defending SimCity. If you want to join in the war, it would be happily received. But if not, that's all right. We will still give you our assistance nonetheless." That's right, none of this 'I'm not helping you if you won't help me crap.' The Palace is not so opportunistic as all that. Raine Sage sighs as she hears that total isolation isn't an option. And Colette and Genis are inviting the Princess into their world! That's a terrible idea, she'd see the truth of matters, bring a bunch of guards... Raine tries to head that off here and now. "Well, unfortunately, I don't think we could guarentee your safety if you visit, Princess. I'm afraid you may want to wait on any such thing until our problems are solved... Which could be some time. Your offer is quite generous, however." Sheena Fujibayashi narrows her eyes at the back of Zelos's head as he speaks up again. On one hand, being able to seal off Tethe'alla and Sylvarant would keep the Desians, and worse, from spreading. But... what if there is something here that could help them? Videoland exsists with all these different worlds linked together, yet not trying to suck each other dry, after all. But that would leave it.. Sigh. Too much to try and make sense of. There just isn't a choice possible that would solve everything without causing more problems. Fortunately, her attention is diverted from actually saying something on the matter, turning her head to the side slightly away from the group. Almost as if to speak to someone, but of course there's no one there. At least, no one that anyone save Sheena can tell is there... Genis Sage finally decides to speak out. "But she's visited more dangerous zones, right? I don't see why the princess--.." Talking about royalty in the third person in their presence is never a good idea. "..Why you can't visit, Princess. I mean, if it's secret, and you have an escort, and maybe if you're in disguise.." He may be in for a Head-Whack Deep Hurting, but Genis feels he needs to raise his objections. "Oh... Yeah, that's right..." Lloyd whispers back to Colette. He looks up to Lana again, just in time to hear Zelos' question. He blinks for a moment, then pauses. While... the idea of closing their world off is tempting- and probably for the best, it means a lot of the things that he's been able to find and do here- the people that he's managed to meet... He wouldn't be able to meet with them. Of course, it's a fairly selfish reason, sadly enough, and he's fully aware of that... He takes a quiet breath upon hearing Lana's response, then he lowers his head. He stands there quietly, not saying a word still until he feels a hand on his shoulder. He looks up to the princess then, before he shakes his head. "I helped defend the city because there was a need for people to help. However, I don't want to be part of a war. I have too much to worry about with my own home- it's in a lot of trouble. Professor Sage isn't kidding by saying that you'd be in danger. Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, while pleasant places, have a lot underneath the pretty outside that make them a very unpleasant place." "Our home is in danger- great danger. Not only do we have a risk from everyone else in Videoland, but we risk a number of the zones here." He pauses, then closes his eyes. "...if Cruxis found out too much of this place, then... it'd be our fault for anything that they ever did here." Lloyd remains quiet for a bit before he looks up to Lana again. "I don't want our problems to get any worse than they are- the people of our own worlds can do that on their own without help from outside of them. What I'm worried about, is the influences of our world causing pain and torment to those who aren't involved. Too many lives are already at risk between Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. I don't want anymore to be possibly harmed..." Princess Lana blinks a little. Some are all for a royal visit, others (RAINE!) don't seem to want her around. But she supposes that's only natural. They don't know Lana all that well, being new to the area, so it's only natural for hackles to be raised in order to protect from strangers who might mean them harm. She'll keep her palms open to be sniffed, so to speak, not pressuring or requesting. Only offering and waiting for inspection. Either they'll take to Lana and the Palace of Power in time, or they'll choose another path to walk. "No, Lloyd," she assures gently. "It would not be your fault. Not at all. You're not responsible for the evil of others. Please don't get involved if you feel obligated or pressured." Again she smiles, withdrawing her hand to look at the others, meeting each face to silently appraise their reactions. "Protecting Videoland is no simple task. And if you're struggling to protect your own zone as it stands, then clearly I have no right to ask for assistance." A mushroom retainer's squeaky steps carry him to the princess, offering a glass of water as he stands on his toes. She grins, accepting the glass and sipping delicately. "But if there is danger, know that you are not alone in facing it. There are many who would move to defend the innocent. All you need is but to ask, and help will come," she speaks softly, but seriously. "I promise." Anyone else. Colette's mind, though off in the cloud more days than not, does manage to wander occasionally to points of pertinence. She frowns when Lloyd brings up the fact that their world has been influencing Videoland. Maya and the Desians, especially, comes to mind, as she nervously fidgets thoughtfully, as she finds herself feeling worse. Likely, she tells herself, pointedly, because of the fact that now she's feeling guilty! She looks to Lana as the princes approaches to set a hand on Lloyd's shoulder, before she speaks. "Our world is, indeed, dangerous... But.." But what? Can even she find a silver lining to this? She frowns. Then... Considers. Likely a scary thing that she should suddenly stumble upon thoughts like Sheena. "I do not think closing off Sylverant or Tethe'Alla would do any good; in fact, it may do more harm." She says, suddenly. "Because closing things off makes people want access to them -even more-. And that WOULD cause trouble; this, 'Mother Brain' would stop at nothing to get in at it! Like.. Like when you put a cookie jar out of reach, and the little kid you're trying to hide it from just climbs up on the counter, and then knocks everything over trying to get ti it.." .. Funny, she's looking at Lloyd with an almost nostalgic smile for a moment there. Then of course, she clears her throat and says, ".. Besides. Lana has a very good point! A time may come when we need help from an outside source! Since it appears physically im possible to seal off our worlds, then that seems inevitable. I would like to think.. That if we need help from other sources.. we should be able to get it." Princess Lana inclines her head to Colette. "Yes, you should." She considers for a moment, then turns her head to fix her gaze on a Hylian soldier. "I need one of our radios, please." The guard salutes silently and departs, returning moments later with one of the palace-issued shiny little radios. Holding it in her palm, Lana turns to address the others. "This is attuned to the palace frequency," she explains. "If you want to know more about us and what we do, this should help. Additionally, should you need assistance without wishing to attract any of the usual unsavory sorts who frequent the Interzone network, just say the word and aid will be dispatched." There we go. It's like a free sample of the Palace of Power! Try before you buy! "This way you won't have to sign a thing, and no one will go where they're not invited." She holds it out to no one in particular, figuring that if others would like to receive a handset, they can be sent one as well. Sigh. "Colette, if Lloyd's plan works out, then we'll have everything taken care of. Worlds will be fine, so we just need to find a way to keep them from being able to be accessed by nasty people whom we don't want hanging around. Its as easy as that. And besides, things always start out nice, but in the end we'd get caught up in one side of this war, or another. And I just know that you people will probably want to help the Palace out." Zelos doesn't add that he would rather be on the side that was going to win - and seeing as he had no idea who was the stronger of the two here, he had no desire to tie himself to one side or another before he had a better idea of the lay of the land. "Listen - getting involve in our world isn't going to be a fun thing. Its gonna really mess things up if the bad people on our worlds get out - believe me, these are some seriously uncool guys and hunnies, and they don't exactly make my Christmas list. And a nice looking Princess like you - eh. They'd probably do nasty things to your subjects just because you're human." He glances over at Raine and Genis for a moment, and grins, waving one hand over his shoulder. "No offense intended, and all that." "...Nah, he is right." Genis hates saying that about Zelos. Oh, how he hates it. "See, on Sylvarant, half-elf Desians enslave humans..and on Tethe'alla, humans mistreat half-elves." He sighs, frowning as he dwells on that for a moment. "Either way, it just..well, we don't want to involve other innocent people in that. It's nothing against all of you, and we appreciate what you're trying to do.." Raine Sage sighs at Zelos' comment. "Well, it's true, so it's not offensive. Thank you for the opportunity to keep in touch, however..." Raine steps up, ready to try and take the radio from the Princess. She has to make certain it's not Lloyd or someone else who's unable to maintain their cool in a conversation... At least, not without someone watching over them. "We'll try to avoid calling if it's not a hundred percent needed..." Princess Lana chuckles lightly at Zelos's comments. "War is never fun." Unless you're Kirby, then it's a party and a half. "But you needn't worry for my sake or anyone else's. My heroes are trained to look after themselves and each other," she winks. "I have every confidence in them. But, as I said, the choice will always be yours." She turns to Raine and places the radio in her hands. "I will warn you, though, that some of our allies are a bit, well...eccentric." She doesn't look at Zelos while she says this, of course. "People come from almost any type of zone you can think of. Some are serious and moody, and others are...well, not," she chuckles. "But see for yourselves. They're good people." Even if it's really deep down inside in some rare instances. "A radio?" Lloyd grins. It's shiney! It's got buttons! He can click them and cause mayhem! Well... he doesn't want to /cause/ mayhem, but it'll happen if he gets his hands on the radio. He looks at everyone else, then back to Lana. "I want the radio!" He grins. It seems like the radio is entirely too amusing to the kid. "I think it's a great idea, actually." He likes, entirely too much, meeting new people here, at least. That's a bright side- he doesn't want to give it up either. And Lana offers a Radio! And Rain takes it! .. Isn't there supposed to be a chime that announces they've gained a new Key Item here? Colette misses the point between Raine, Zelos, and Genis entirely as soon as the radio is handed out. "See?! I knew this was a good idea for us to come here and meet the princess!" She says, cheerfully. Before she looks to 'her posse', and says, hands clasped, "I knew people in Palaces weren't all bad, not even Link when he got angry at me for accidentally knocking the table over on him or spilling my soup on him and then--" She pauses. As it suddenly dawns on her this would be a good point to.. stop talking. ".. Uhm. I mean... That's very nice! May I have a radio too, Miss Lana?" She says, turning to offer the princess an umbaressed, wide grin. Sheena Fujibayashi sighs a bit, turning her attention back to the discussion at large. Whoever or whatever she was talking to herself to, it doesn't appear to have helped her mood any. This really isn't getting anywhere, they could argue back and forth all night about how they should or shouldn't keep isolating themselves. And though she doesn't really want to get involved in any 'war' either, Sheena wouldn't want to leave people suffering if it can be helped, either. Her whole reason for being involved in the first place is.. well, that's deep and convolted and doesn't really need to be gotten into at the moment. And then Colette comes up with something deep and meaningful. That's only slightly less shocking than if, say, Lloyd had come up with it. "Huh." Is all she says at first. The kids might not be as clueless as they seem sometimes. "Well, if we can't cloese the warps off, you're in just as much danger of being affect by the lesser aspects from our wolrds as we are yours. Someone should at least know what they might have to face..." The Princess comes up with the radio idea. Hmmm. "As I was saying.... But who gets to take it?" She peers a little as Rayne steps up, but says nothing. She's already put enough people through terrible things in her time to think about doing it herself... And facepalms at Lloyd. Princess Lana laughs, again gesturing to the guard who comes back out with a box of the sets. "I've enough for whoever wants one," she smiles back to Lloyd and Colette. "I'll be sure to give the others a heads up so they know the situation concerning your worlds, and not to trespass without invitation." True to form, Zelos saunters on over, and picks up a radio set of his own. Why? Because there's a good chance there might be cute girls who talk over it, and it wouldn't be as obnoxious as having to converse with them over that other crazy channel. Hard to make nice with a girl when you've got a dozen nasty sounding guys all trying to crimp your style, and all that. But Zelos does look over to Lana for a moment, and narrows his eyes - only for a second, but there's a consideration there. "So you have access to stuff from all across all of these zones that make up Videoland, right? Lots of neat technology and magic and all that sort of thing?" Raine Sage keeps the radio away from Lloyd. "Thank you, in any case..." She steps back, again. Well, even if the others get one, she needs to monitor them and make certain they're not telling too much. And she'll keep an ear open for interesting information... Then, Zelos brings that subject up. "...Oh, that does sound fascinating.." Genis Sage walks over and picks up a radio, examining it. Pretty fascinating thing, that. "Thank you, Your Highness," he bows a bit as he steps over. Then he pauses, and tries to resist the urge to roll his eyes. Zelos may have just unleashed Raine-Mania on the poor, unsuspecting princess. Maybe try to lead the subject in a direction he'd like, anyway. "You probably have access to ancient magical books and texts, right?" Lloyd looks a bit crestfallen as Raine keeps the radio from him. Until he sees Zelos get one. Aha! Lloyd quickly runs after the black clad Chosen- skidding to a stop as he remembers his manners and walks quietly over to pick up another. Take that! Biii! :p The kid looks over it, toying with the buttons a bit... when he hears the conversation on things like this... and rolls his eyes. "Oh, /come on/." He looks up to Lana. "Do you have anything /fun/?" Colette picks out a radio, and peers at it with an inquisative smile. Wow, it's just like that odd one that has all the voices and confusing people on it. And the nice ones, too, like Paula and Link and that Knuckles fellow everyone seems to think is mean! .. Poor, poor trusting Colette. She looks to Lana. "Thank you VERY Much, Princess." She says, merrily, bowing, as she laughs slightly, And then looks to the Guard, "And thank you, too, Sir." Well, he DID bring them the radios! .. .. Of course, Lloyd's overexhuberance does not go unnoticed. She laughs at that as well. And then.. Notices Raine and Zelos. .. Oddly, this inspires something. ".. You know, Professor.. I bet, not just Lana's Palace has such interesting texts. I bet other places, like the Palace of .. Hyrule? Where Link lives? Has some! And so might Ms. Paula's Eagleland.. And Maya's world. I bet, if we paid a visit to each, there's bound to be all sorts of interesting ruins, and artifacts to see.." ... Did Colette just encourage Raine for altirior means? Oh for goodness sake, they're -encouraging- her now. That definately can't be good. Although. If it got Raine's interest in being even a little more open, it could be okay in the end. "Well, if everyone ELSE is going to get in on this." She shrugs a bit. As long as she's not the one responsible for all these people. The last t ime she was... well, it wasn't pretty. But if everyone else is going for a radio, she may as well too. "-Someone- has to make sure Zelos doesn't turn this idea into a disaster with his big mouth." Princess Lana does her best to keep from laughing outright, but she does chuckle and incline her head. "Well, yes, that we do," she says in answer to all of them. "The levels of such vary from zone to zone, but there are several who would be more than happy to take you on a tour of their homes." It would help teach the heroes a little diplomacy, too. Zelda will have to work overtime at this rate...perhaps she should see to it that a class is set up on diplomacy and interzone relations. That should have been done long ago, really. Raine Sage is off on her little educational world now. There went her balance and sanity. "Well, I must see the books and technology you have, then!" They're so much more advanced than magitechnology in places, she'd seen, and Raine intends to learn everything about it and the history of here she can while they're on peaceful terms with the people here. It might be usable against Cruxis, after all.. There's something behind Zelos expression as he listens to Princess Lana, before he saunters over and smiles at Raine. "You know Professor, there are probably millions of ruins out there - some of them that no one has probably studied before. You could be the first to see them, to explore around and discover their secrets. And I'm sure that the Princess would be glad to help you out with your studies, since I'm sure a lot of that research could benefit her cause as well." He smiles, and turns back to Lana. "But I'll take you up on your offer though - after all, seems pretty nice around here, and I'm sure there are a lot of problems that we could probably find answers to if we had your help. Count me in, Princess," he comments. A very... Abrupt turnaround from his previous position? Red Wizard says, "...You know staying elsewhere defeats the point of a curfew, right?" You will no longer hear messages on channel . The Master Chief | Cortana says, pleasantly: "So. We've initiated diplomatic relations with these people?" Paula says, "...wait we have?" Maya says, "Sounds like it." Lloyd Irving clicks his radio on and off a few times. Then "Ah! There." Young Link says, "Sounds like." Princess Lana chuckles, just as yet another guard approaches (handy fellows, those guards) with generic maps and guidebooks to the basic zones of Videoland. There's no sensitive information there, of course, but it's been written as a sort of beginner's guide to the wild and wacky universe in which they live. "This will help you if you wish to explore Videoland. While the palace database is restricted to members only, there's a library in downtown Simsville that I'm positive will answer any questions you may have." Genis Sage 's own inner nerd is seeping through. Sorry, Lloyd. "I'd like to come along, too, if it's alright! Whenever that happens, of course. I find that sort of thing pretty interesting..besides, you can always use a bit of magic, right?" He's been a little less apprehensive about the Palace the entire time, but he understands Lloyd's and Colette's wishes, and even Zelos's and Raine's point of view. He turns to his big sister. "Zelos is right, you know.." Ow, again. "Videoland has to be filled with ancient technology, magic, ruins, eldrich wisdom..you could collect it all!" Maya says, "Lloyd! Hey!" Paula says, "...LLOYD!" Sonia Belmont says, "Ahh! Lloyd." Lloyd Irving says, "HI!" Young Link says, "OW! PAULA!" Zelos Wilder clicks. "No, it works like that Lloyd. See?" Lloyd Irving sounds all too eager. The Master Chief | Cortana says, "We read you. Lloyd, is it?" Lloyd Irving says, "Yep! My name's Lloyd. What's yours?" Young Link says, "...I'm right next to you, girl!" Sonia Belmont says, "From the sound of it, it seems everything went just fine after our talk, hm, Lloyd?" Paula says, "Sorry Link!" Lady A says, "Hello, Lloyd." Sheena Fujibayashi clicks on a few moments later. "So. Did Lloyd get bored with it yet?" Jim Raynor says, "Howdy, Lloyd." Paula yays! Helena Douglas says, "I see you must have made a good impression, Mr. Wilder." Maya says, "Hello, Sheena." Lloyd Irving says, "I'm not bored with it." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "Yet" The Master Chief | Cortana sounds cheerful. "Evening, Lloyd. Cortana, UNSC artificial intelligence." Then, the Chief: "The Master Chief." Lloyd Irving says, "Don't say yet." Alucard says, "Greetings, Child." Young Link mutters. "Ok, let's get a Prinny and get outta here. Something about girls with tails that give me the creeps." The Master Chief says, "Don't think we've met, but for the record, it's good to hear from you." The Guardian says, "Hello, sir. I'm the Guardian." Lloyd Irving says, "Hi, Cortan- and I'm not a kid. I'm 17 years old." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "And hello, Maya." Zero says, "Cortana! You're alright!" Sonia Belmont says, "He does that anyways, Lloyd." Jim Raynor says, "Welcome back Cortana." Sonia Belmont says, "Considering he's a bit.. old.. it's.. well." Alucard says, "When you are as old as I, most are as children." Sonia Belmont giggles quietly. Angela says, "Princess Angela Aesland of Altena, co-manager of the Adventure Inn, at your service." Zelos Wilder says, "I was RIGHT. <3" The Master Chief | Cortana, levelly: "Yes, I'm back." Sonia Belmont says, "I myself, though Lloyd already knows, am Sonia Belmont, of the Belmont family." Lloyd Irving says, "Hi, Sonia!" Young Link says, "Well, Alucard, don't forget that Sonia and I are time displaced. *chuckles*" Bah! You all suck! Lloyd's already in his own world, though. He's playing around with his radio, ignoring the /boring/ conversation all around him. This little device is really nifty. He's so happy with this. This turned out to be way better than he expected, in fact! Jim Raynor says nothing but Gui says "Humm I have one question for Lloyd and his friends, Mild or spicey chicken wings?" Lloyd Irving says, "....eh?" Scott O'Connor says, "..." Jim Raynor Says nothing but Gui says "Its a type of food from my zone, type of bird that's roasted and then covered with a glaze of some sort. I have a batch in the works here but I haven't dipped em yet." Scott O'Connor says, "I'm sorry, I can't remember your name. Guido, something like that?" Jim Raynor says nothing but Gui says "Gui Montag." Scott O'Connor says, "I believe that goes down in Palace history as quite potentially the dumbest question ever asked of a new Palace ally." Colette, too, is breifly mesmerized by the apparatus in hand. Ooo. Radio. Bet it takes her at least -6- minutes to get bored. After all, she's got the larger attention span. The Master Chief | Cortana says, "So. Seeing as how I tend to act as dispatch around here, would any of you mind telling me a little about yourselves? What you do, what you're good at, that sort of thing." Young Link says, "You mean one of the other Links didn't ask out a new ally yet, Colonel?" Colette Brunel clicks her radio on. "Oooo. Just like the other one! How nice!" The Guardian says, "Mr. O'Connor! I'm sure it was meant to be friendly. - Anyway, tell us about yourselves." Paula says, "Hi Colette!" Scott O'Connor says, "Ah, Cortana. You're sounding a lot better." Young Link says, "Good evening, Colette!" Colette Brunel says, "Oooh! Hello, Paula!! Hello, Link!! How are you two?" Maya says, "Hey, Collette." Zelos Wilder says, "See, just as many people except they're not threatening to kill us. I told you this was a good ida." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Still facing a day in defrag, but." Colette Brunel says, "And Maya, too! Oh, this is wonderful!!" Paula says, "Great!" Lloyd Irving says, "Right! This is nice." Angela | Angel.exe says, "Ouch, defrag." Lloyd Irving says, "What's defrag?s" Lloyd Irving oocly kicks the 's' off. Genis Sage says, "Testing?" Sonia Belmont laughs, "There's not that many death threats, no. Except when someone steals the 'Fruity-Os' or so I hear. The Guardian says, "It's like organizing your thoughts." Princess Lana steps back and smiles, listening to the others get acquainted with the allies she knows and loves...and those she just tolerates for reasons unknown. SCOTT O'CONNOR... They seem to be doing remarkably well, and seeing them smiling and enjoying themselves? That makes it all worth while. After the materials are distributed, Lana quietly clears her throat. "Is there anything else I can do for you? Any other questions?" Young Link says, "...or pies." Colette Brunel says, ".. What are Fruity'os?" Sonia Belmont says, "But that's more of a, ah, fraternal kindof threat." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "We read you. And yes, that's basically it." Lloyd Irving says, "And what're Fruity-O's?" Sheena Fujibayashi just rolls her eyes slightly as Genis starts to sound a little like his sister. Just a little. "You do realize if she finds something interesting, she's probably going to give you homework on it too, right?", she remarks, mostly towards Lloyd and Genis. Lloyd Irving is going to be doing this all night. The Guardian says, "A tasty artificial food product." Scott O'Connor says, "Cereal." Sonia Belmont says, "I think they're a 'cereal', for breakfast." Young Link says, "Oh, we'll have to show them, Paula!" Angela | Angel.exe says, "I'd almost rather wipe and reinstal, if that didn't give me the hebe-jebbies." Paula says, "Yeah! They're really good." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "The Guardian and myself are constructs--inorganic intelligences." Scott O'Connor says, "Captain N has a tendency to get violent when he is cut off from his supply." Zero says, "Same here." Genis Sage says, "Of cereal?" Young Link says, "Colonel?" Zero says, "Though, the intelligence part is debatable some days on my end..." Maya says, "hello, Genis." Lady A says, drolly, "It's about the only thing he shows real enthusiasm for." Zero chuckles a bit. Young Link says, "They're new. Don't scare them." Sonia Belmont says, "Well, it's more of a, ah, he just gets cranky over, I think." Young Link says, "Good evening, Lady A." Lady A says, "Hello." Sonia Belmont says, "I've just been doing reading, I haven't seen it personally." Lloyd Irving says, "Wipe and Reinstall? What's that?" The Master Chief says, "Good evening, ma'am." Lady A says, "I had an eventul day." Young Link says, "What happened?" Angela | Angel.exe says, "As am I. I was programed to help Angela, how knows very little about computers use them, and other elements of, to her, high technology." Scott O'Connor says, "But that takes the /fun/ out of it. Right. Jacking out now." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "...Computer procedures. Good night, Colonel." Lady A says, "I warped out to Hyrule after being nearly stabbed to death with broken lollipops." Why Zelos has done such an about face will probably be discovered someday. Just not today. But he does smile and offer a polite bow to Princess Lana... And as he makes sure that most of the kidlings are occupied with their radios, he walks over to her and asks her quietly, "So how big is this Videoland of yours anyways? Technically infinite, I know, but there has to be some sort of sane limitation, else you'd never be able to get anything done." Of course, he's standing nearby and talking in a low tone of voice - you know what conclusions people are gonna draw from this. Young Link says, "...do you need to be healed?" The Guardian says, "I hope they didn't perforate excessively." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "...Let me guess. Tama?" Colette Brunel says, ".. I was a little wrong, though! .. This almost more confusing than that one channel." Paula sighs, "Tama, right?" Lady A says, "The faerie took care of it." The Master Chief says, "...He tried to knock me unconscious with a root-beer can." Young Link sighs. "..at least there are some left, Lady A." Lady A says, "Yes. Tama. You've met?" The Master Chief says, "In battle. Once." Princess Lana says, "Oh, Lita, how awful... Are you all right?" Colette Brunel says, ".. .. Faeries?" Sonia Belmont says, "Multiple conversations at once, I think.." She pauses for a moment, then towards Colette "I hate to seem rude.. but, I don't think I caught your name..?" Raine Sage begins to get involved in a very nice conversation with Genis. "Well, of course you can help me explore them." She'd already done some research in that library, of course, but she'll just have to go and look for more likely places to go. "I won't be able to give ruins of other worlds as good an inspection without learning about those worlds first, so we'll have to do that. And looking into technology... That might provide an advantage against Cruxis. Right now, they have that edge over us..." Lady A says, "Yes. I'm fine. I didn't want to hurt him. So I left." Young Link says, "A healer on my world, Colette. Currently threatened because EVIL is kidnapping the Great Fairies that produce them."" The Master Chief | Cortana pauses. "All right. And I repeat the request: new-Zoners, would you mind telling me a little about yourselves?" Lady A says, "Is there anything I can do to help this, Young Link?" Lady A says, "They do assisst me so often." Raine Sage says, "...Perhaps later." The Guardian says, "I'd like to second Cortana." Young Link says, "Well, to be honest, Lady A, Kevin assigned Shiek and I to go in and get them out while he leads a distraction team. But I won't lie.. any assistance you can provide would be welcomed." Lady A says, "I could help." Young Link says, "I appreciate it, ma'm." "If you need someone to help- like if the zones that you're checking up on are dangerous, then let me know!" Lloyd seems to be eager to help in that manner at least. But he's always eager to beat stuff up sometimes. Is it really sad about that? Who knows really? Maybe he'll find something else that's fun to play around with. ...but with that in mind. It might not be a good idea for Raine and Genis to take him along. Lady A says, "Maybe I'll stay in the Zone a while." Maya says, "Lita? Why was Tama after you?" Young Link says, "Paula? I don't think staying here is a great idea. Maybe come back for a more detailed visit tomorrow?" Lloyd Irving says, "Umm... well... My name is Lloyd. I'm a swordsman. I go to school. I...." He pauses for a second, "...how much do you want to know?" Lady A says, "He was concerned for my well-being." Genis Sage nods eagerly. "I'll come along with you for that, definitely. Maybe I can ask Commander Keen about his world," he mentions, bringing up his first friend from outside the dual worlds. "And some of the others. The technology around her is really fascinating, isn't it?" Of course, Genis's bad idea sense does tingle when Lloyd makes his offer. "Won't you just get bored, though, Lloyd?" Princess Lana looks to Zelos, turning to face him. "No one knows for sure, not even Lady A," she smiles, shaking her head. "Still, we've done the best we can to map out the bigger areas," she says, indicating the map with a gesture of her hand. "There's a train station in SimCity that can take you just about anywhere. The areas are color-coded to show which areas are safe," i.e. Palace-aligned, "and which are not." That would be primarily Mother Brain's domain and such. "I'd bring a weapon along in any case. It's always good to be prepared," she smiles. The Guardian says, "Well, if you'd like to write something up and put it on our intranet, that'd be fine." Sheena Fujibayashi has gone mostly silent for the moment, listening to the radio. Or she'd likely say something about Zelos. Lucky for him! She's just listening at the moment and not saying much though. This is normal for her though, she's not very talkative until she gets to know people better... Colette Brunel breaks away from the attention grabbing radio to blink. "I can think of one Zone I'd like to visit," She says, softly, "I want to see Link and Paula in Hyrule, and meet Princess Zelda. I heard she's just as nice as you, Ms. Lana. Plus I sort of owe Link something or other for accidentally burning him. Maybe I'll take him some cookies as an apology!" She says, cheerfully. Paula says, "Well, um, hmm...but don't we have that...you know..N-team thing tommarow, Link? I don't want to be late for that! I can just spend the night here and come back before we go on the mission tommarow." Young Link says, "Then I'm staying with you, Paula." Sheena Fujibayashi says, ".. What good is a net going to do? Aren't those for catching animals in?" Sonia Belmont pauses again, asking towards Colette, "Is everything alright?" Scott O'Connor says, ".." Maya says, "Net is a tem for a information network, Sheena." The Guardian tries again: "It's a sort of message board we can all read." Sonia Belmont asked Colette her name, after all. n.n v The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Computers." Scott O'Connor twitch. Paula says, "Okay...Red! Don't go hunting for Link tonight, he's with me!" The Master Chief | Cortana says, "I don't believe you have any in your world... correct?" Sheena Fujibayashi ohs. "That kind of net." Young Link says, "...this is turning into the cartoon conversation again, you realize that, right?" Colette Brunel says, "Hmm? Oh! Oh, I'm sorry, I was distracted! My name's Colette Brunel. I'm with Lloyd, he's my friend!" Angela | Angel.exe says, "The internet is a network of linked computers. Think about a library, where each book can magicly access the pages of the other books in that library, and other libraries." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Yes, that type of net." Princess Lana blushes lightly at Colette's compliment, beaming with pleasure. "Oh yes, Zelda's VERY nice," she confirms. "She and I have been best friends since we were little girls," she adds with a giggle. "And I think Link would like that, very much. Hyrule is a very beautiful place, I'm certain you'll enjoy it." Colette Brunel says, "What'd you call Paula, Link? Specuial Friend? Yeah! Genis and Lloyd are my special friends. We've been friends for a long time!!" Sonia Belmont says, "Oh! I met Lloyd the other night, we had a nice talk, he's a real gentleman, Colette. My name's Sonia Belmont, Colette. Perhaps we'll get to meet face-to-face sometime." Young Link says, "Red, just put my dinner away! I'll uh.. eat it tomorrow! And yes, my room's clean!" Maya says nothing but Runner Barks in greeting to the new people! Thought Lloyd and Sheena might know the bark. Scott O'Connor says, "Right. I'm going virus busting." Red Wizard says, "Okay kid. Not like I'm the one making it, but." Young Link fumbles his radio at Colette's remark. Sonia Belmont inserts her statement before the 'special friends' comment. Raine Sage says, "Colette..." Colette Brunel says, ".. Yes, Professor?" Raine Sage says, "I think that has a different connotation here." Colette Brunel says, ".. You mean it doesn't mean 'Best'?" Lloyd Irving ehhs.... Umm... It's.... Red Wizard says, "No." Raine Sage says, "Just say that they are 'best' or 'good' friends." Scott O'Connor says, "..." Lloyd Irving seems to be stammering. Red Wizard says, "It usually means mate or significant other." Colette Brunel says, "..." Paula coughcoughdropradio. Scott O'Connor says, "Folks, I nearly got struck by a Met, I was laughing so hard." Young Link coughcoughdroppedradio. Lloyd Irving says, "..." Maya says, "..." Angela says, "Red..." Genis Sage says, "....." Jim Raynor says, "Red..." Colette Brunel suddenly suonds QUITE embaressed. "Oh, Uh.. Uhm... Uh... No. No, they're just my best friends. I mean, Lloyd and Genis are very nice, but I-- I Mean They-- I mean.. Uhm..." Lloyd Irving has been sounding embarassed. Genis Sage says, "..we're not both her mates, nooo..." Angela says, "You could have put off saying that when you met them in person." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "Just let it go, Colette, before you confuse yourself more." Maya says, "Genis? Am I off that you three have grown up togther?" Colette Brunel says, ".. Wait." The Guardian says, "We really need a procedure for technological exposure." Young Link says, ".....I.. u-uh.. err.. uhm.. y-yeh." Angela | Angel.exe says, "That's my job Guardian." Sonia Belmont laughs softly. "Goodness." (New BB message (7/18) posted to 'IC News' by Videoland News: Reports from Outworld) Colette Brunel says, "... What does Significant other mean? Because I uh.. I.. I know what the first one means, and I didn't think Significance OR Other had anything to do with..." Sonia Belmont says, "Perhaps something like a .. I don't know. One of those 'brochure' things, Guardian?" Young Link says, "DON'T ANSWER THAT WIZARD!" Red Wizardchuckles quietly. Pocket mutters something deeply bitter about English class. "Konbanwa, minna-san!" About ten seconds pass. "Anou, I mean good evening!" Princess Lana says, "Allow me." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "That might work." Raine Sage says, "They're pretty much synonymous, Colette." Scott O'Connor says, "Folks, in the interest of my own personal amusement." Genis Sage says, "Yeah, Maya...Lloyd, Colette and I all grew up in the same village. They're older, though." Sonia Belmont coughs quietly, before speaking towards Colette; "It .. er, alright, Princess." Princess Lana says, "Hello, Pocket!" Young Link says, "....sorry. Someone with some tact, p-please? Thank you, Princess." Paula says, "Hi Pocket!" Scott O'Connor says, "Significant other revers to 'lover'." The Master Chief says, "Belatedly, Princess, evening."" The Guardian says, "Well, ma'am, you aren't always - here - ah - my, this is noisy." KOS-MOS says, "Greetings, Gamemaster Pocket." Red Wizard says, "Not always, Scott." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Evening as well." Maya says, "hey, Pocket." Pocket typity typity. "Sorry I have been quiet, I had homework." Princess Lana says, "Significant other usually means boyfriend or girlfriend, someone that you're in love with. Paula and Link are dating, in this instance." Colette Brunel says, ".. A. Uh.. Allright, Miss Lana..." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "Oh, someone that actually does homework. The Professor will be happy." Pocket says, "Let's see what's been up tod--ay..." Colette Brunel says, ".. Oh! ... Oh. But then why does that refer to--" Jim Raynor says, "Homewhere? There's something I ain't done since College." Helena Douglas says, "Ah, young Link's said the 'L' word already?" Genis Sage whistles. Sonia Belmont pauses at the whole 'Significant Other' talk, before alluding, "Probably something.. that 'Zelos' gentleman would be knowledgable in.. considering how much he might flirt." Hey, she's nice and oblivious at the moment to Zelos possibly being on. "If you're going to Hyrule..." Lloyd speaks up to Colette- he's forgotten about Genis and Raine at this moment. He feels it's necessary to protect the Chosen from his hometown. ...no offense to the Sage siblings, of course. "I'd like to go see it with you." He adds it a bit quietly before looking to Princess Lana. Jim Raynor took a police foundations course yes. Young Link says, "................" Colette Brunel pauses. "... Then again.. Uhm.. May.. Maybe I don't want.. want to know." Pocket falls silent. It's a very shocked silence, and warrants a full scale "...!" Sheena Fujibayashi says, "..." Young Link says, "Sooooooooooooonia!" The Master Chief | Cortana says, "...Miss Belmont." Sheena Fujibayashi starts laughing. Sonia Belmont says, "Oh, sorry." Sonia Belmont goes quiet. Embarassed, a little? Jim Raynor says nothing but Aster says "... And people say I'm the local loud mough, sheash..." Young Link doesn't deny it, however. Sheena Fujibayashi says, "That would require Zelos being able to pay attention to only one girl at a time." The Master Chief | Cortana then shuts up. No sense in -her- inviting any more trouble. Colette Brunel says, ".. Oh, this is something Zelos specializes in?" Raine Sage sighs. "I was planning on covering this type of thing, eventually. But, really, Colette's parents SHOULD have taught it." Zelos Wilder says, "Pardon? I missed what you said - talking to the Princess and everything." Colette Brunel says, ".. Then I was right. I don't think I want to know!" Sonia Belmont aahs softly. "I haven't met him in-person.. ..though the way he talks to women suggested it." Sonia Belmont says, "My apologies, everyone." Sheena Fujibayashi says, ".. Colette learns fast." Young Link says, "It's ok, Sonia.." The Master Chief | Cortana, delicately: "Mr. Zelos." Colette Brunel says, ".. Well, Sheena, I do always get my homework done before everyone else, but that's because I -- .. I work very hard, yes." Young Link mutters something. Really indistinguishable. And in Hylian. Genis Sage says, "I still don't get a lot of what you guys are talking about.." Colette Brunel turns, and nods to Lloyd. "Allright, Lloyd! That sounds wonderful! Then you can meet Link and Paula." She says, happily! .. Though, yes. She's still kind of.. er.. Pink about the cheeks. Radio conversations. Hooboy. Sonia Belmont says, "I think we were discussing the general terms of what Significant Other meant. I was reminded, briefly, of, ah, another's behavior." Sonia Belmont says, "But I think we're past that topic now." Pocket rants in Japnese for a while, ending out with: "NANI KORE--?! BU-BUT! YOU!...YOU GUYS LET A BAD GUY GET AWAY WITH SOMEONE AND HEAL THEM?!" Young Link is still red. You'd be proud, Miss Belmont. Paula says, "...I'm confuuuuused." Jim Raynor says, "Pocket slow down..." Zelos Wilder says, "Signifigant other - man, is that the most BORING way to put that sort of thing? What is this, politically corrent channel or something?" Young Link says, "So am I." Colette Brunel says, "Don't worry, Genis. I don't get it entirely myself, but as long as no one wants to talk about it, then let's talk about something else! Like-- Oh, I know!" Scott O'Connor says, "Pocket, Pocket." Sonia Belmont says, "I forgot who termed it on this channel." Scott O'Connor says, "Didn't you catch that bit about 'healing'?" Pocket says, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE BAD GUYS ARE?! THEY DO BAD THINGS! EVIL THINGS!" Jim Raynor says, "..." Scott O'Connor says, "..." KOS-MOS says, "Pocket. Please state the nature of your emergency." Angela says, "There are children on the channel that we don't want to have grow up too fast." Scott O'Connor says, "Now, why is it that /he/ has a controller, and not us?" Colette Brunel says, "Link? I and Lloyd would like to come see Hyrule some time! Is that allright with you? I figured I should ask first, because you're in charge and all." Young Link says, "Pocket? Try that again. Slower." Jim Raynor says nothing but Aster says "... He's going nuclear!" Genis Sage says, "Hey, I'm grown-up enough." Pocket says, "HE'S /EVIL/! He probably -- kami-sama, he probably -- SOMEBODY GET HER A CHECK-UP! QUICKLY! Who knows what evil things he could have done to her!" Red Wizard says, "WHO, Pocket?" Scott O'Connor says, "..." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "What the heck is he ranting about?" Scott O'Connor says, "Dual." KOS-MOS says, "'He' and 'her' are too general a monicer." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Dual, I'm guessing." Jim Raynor says, "Heather, I think and Dual." Young Link .. "I'll let Princess Zelda know. She's the one in charge there. I'm just one of the heroes there. And not one of the better ones, at that." Scott O'Connor says, "He basically saved Heather's life." Sonia Belmont laughs a bit. "Sounds like me in a way.. Mister..?" Hey, she doesn't know who Genis is. Must've missed his name. :o Pocket says, "HE'S A /BAD GUY/! YOU CAN'T TRUST A /BAD GUY/!" Princess Lana says, "Keiji... *sigh* This was a matter I was hoping to address on the morrow after I had time to meet with Heather myself." Paula says, "...Link, how can you say that?" Red Wizard sighs. Scott O'Connor says, "Cripes, KOU has a better grip on this than he does." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Pocket. With respect, please settle down." Zelos Wilder says, "Hey, kid? Calm down for a moment - if you don't keep your cool, no one is going to take you seriously." The Master Chief | Does Cortana sound a little motherly when she says this? Maybe. Helena Douglas says, "Interesting. Well if anything, that particular Dark Gamemaster is at least living up to his namesake." Genis Sage says, "Genis Sage." Young Link | Navi pipes in, "Link, stop it! Paula's right!" The child hero grumbles. "Sorry." Colette Brunel says, ".. You're not, Link? Oh, but I thought-- Well, okay. You will let us know, though, won't you? And what's going on? This poor fellow sounds more confused than Lloyd did that time he ran into that bunch of bees.." Sonia Belmont says, "A pleasure. Sonia Belmont." Princess Lana says, "He has a right to be upset, Scott. This should not have happened. But, as I said, it will be addressed tomorrow. I promise." Sonia Belmont says, "More names to learn, but I do not mind. I like meeting new people, after all.." Young Link says, "But yes, you're welcome to visit Hyrule." Paula helpfully contributes to the conversation with, "Bees are scary." Young Link snickers. Lloyd Irving says, "Yes! They are!" Jim Raynor says, "I thought Zero had heather as he said he was going to get her, while the Prince and I were getting Gum. But ya lets sort this out later all right?" Colette Brunel says, "Allright, Link! .. What was that noise your radio made, it wounded neat.." Young Link says, "...that was Navi." "HI!" "She's my fairy." "HI!" "Will you stop that?" "No!"" Colette Brunel says, "... Fairy?" Young Link says, "I'll introduce you when we get back from the mission we're on, Colette." Colette Brunel says, ".. Oooooo. They -do- exist? Ooooo!" Colette Brunel says, "I would like that very much, Link!! Wow, a real fairy.." Destin Faroda says, "Keiji, are you still listening?" Young Link says, "uh.. Paula? Do we have a tent, or anything like that? I don't see any trees around." Angela | Angel.exe says, "I think you're very right Guardian. If you want someone to teach, well, Angela can do fine on her own for a day." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "I second that." Young Link says, "Bed. Ugh." Terra murmurs a bit. "I could use a night in a bed, I really should head back soon. Digging a Secret Hideout to spend the night in isn't all that comfortable sometimes." The Guardian says, "Mm, well. Really, it's an ad-hoc thing." Colette Brunel considers quietly. ".. Link? Paula? What kind of cookies do you like?" The Guardian says, "I mean, I might find someone stranded on a planet who uses entirely biological technology, and have to explain all these things - I just thought a rough guide could help people not get sidetracked." Young Link says, "...uhm. I'll defer to Paula on that one." Red Wizard mutters, desynchs. Paula says, "Um...chocolate chip and almonds!" Maya says, "... My world has a high level of biological technology and err what's the common term? Technowizardy?" Colette Brunel says, ".. Ooo. I think I have a rec-- Er, I mean, Okay!" she seems wayyyy too cheerful. "I'll let Lloyd decide when a good day to go to Hyrule will be. He has to make sure I'll be safe and all. Right, Lloyd?" Princess Lana says, "It's an excellent idea, TG. I approve. Perhaps you and the Master Chief could put your heads together and work on that? It would be very helpful." The Guardian says, "Well, alright... Do we have any professional educators floating around?" Sheena Fujibayashi says, "I dunno, Maya. All I know is that what technology we do have still requrires magic to run in some sort. Probably different around here, most of your worlds seem to be more advanced in that matter." Raine Sage says, "What?" The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Of course, Princess." The Chief adds, "Cortana's the technical one, but I could chip in." Then, Cortana: "...Professor Sage?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I missed something, did I?" Princess Lana says, "Good evening, Hero." The Master Chief | Cortana says, "Evening, Hero." Paula says, "Yay! Time to study Prinnies! ...wouldn't this be an apprinnyship?" The Guardian says, "--That was a pretty good one, Paula." Young Link .... Colette Brunel says, ".. What's a Prinny?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Good evening, yeah. What's happening? I was tracking down some Imps that attacked a farm." Terra says, "I dunno Hero, I was starting to wonder that myself. Of course, I miss a lot of things when I'm out training." Paula says, "They're these penguins that are the dead souls of wicked people. The Fortress thinks I'm dead so I'm going to play along and pretend to be a prinny! ...though I'm not exactly wicked...hmm...hopefully they'll fall for it!" The Master Chief | Cortana suddenly sounds very, very uneasy. "...Routine just dragged something up." Colette Brunel says, ".. Penguins with... Uhm...." Young Link says, "Presea was dressed like one the other day." Sheena Fujibayashi says, ".. Wicked undead penguins? And I thought Penguinists were annoying." The Master Chief | Cortana desynchs. Maya says, "I don't know what I did see seemed pretty up there with the Chosens own tech but with out organic parts Sheena." Maya says, "Prinnies also explode when thrown, too Sheena." The Guardian says, "Maybe I should work on a glossary, too." Colette Brunel says, ".. That makes no sense. What's the use of throwing a penguin?" Scott O'Connor says, "They explode." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "Okay, they don't do that. They just try and roll you over with giant snowballs." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "--Cortana?" The Master Chief says, "Scan picked something up--she's dealing with it herself." Young Link says, "Pauuuula! Not everyone needs to know that!" Scott O'Connor says, "/whoa/, people." Paula says, "But I wanted you to be comfortable...well as comfortable as anybody can be in the Netherworld." Terra starts giggling Young Link says, "I'll be more comfortable knowing that we're near each other here. This place is creepy." Princess Lana stifles a yawn. "Well it's good to see that you're all situated. I'm off to bed. Take care, you guys." Lloyd Irving says, "Thank you, Lana!" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Ah..." Genis Sage says, "Goodnight, Princess!" Destin Faroda says, "Goodnight, Princess." The Master Chief says, "Good night, Princess." Sheena Fujibayashi says, "Goodnight, Princess. And thanks." Terra says, "G'night Lana." Princess Lana is so loved. <3! Young Link says, "Rest Well, Princess." Princess Lana says, "It was my pleasure. Sleep tight, when you get there. *desynch!*" Maya says, "Night Lana." Maya says, "Sheena? Lloyd? Colette? Genis and Raine have you seen the commons room yet?" Young Link says, "Angela, don't forget to come pick us up, come morning." Angela says, "I won't forget." Terra can be heard unfolding a map as she hmmms. "Now, where did we leave that warp back to the palace?" "Raichu." "... No, that's the splot of ketchup you dripped on it earlier." "Chuu." Young Link says, "Thanks." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "...Wait a minute." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Lloyd!" Lloyd Irving says, "Hero!" Angela says, "Paula, keep in mind what I tought you." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I see the Princess gave you a radio!" Paula says, "Of course I will!" Young Link | Navi giggles. "I could do that all the time, Link!" "Do what?" "Navi. Navi. NAVIIII! NAVIII!" "...." "Navi?" "Stop that!" "*giggles* Terra says, "..." Colette Brunel giggles. "Fairies sound so cute!" Young Link says, "You want mine?" "HEY!" Terra says, "I feel sorry for you, Young Link." Paula giggles. Terra says, "At least my pokemon don't speak english." Sonia Belmont says, "Fae are actually quite cute as it were." Colette Brunel says, "Oh, no, Link, that's okay. She sounds like she has too much fun with you! .. But if she wants to play with me, I won't mind!" Sonia Belmont says, "Saw a few of them myself, though mostly in passing." Destin Faroda says, "Hylian Faeries have a bit of a mischevious streak, Colette." Colette Brunel says, ".. Po .. key.. mon?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Faeries from my world can be mean little bullies that force you to dance to death if you don't play along with them." Young Link says, "Mine's a pest." "Am NOT!" "Are SO!" "NOT!" "SO!" "NOT!" "SO!" "SO!" "NOT!" "SO!" "NOT!" "SO!" "NOT!" "...what are we arguing about..." "...I dunno." Colette Brunel says, "Aw, Navi doesn't sound that bad!" Destin Faroda says, "There was the time that KOS-MOS was found by a Hylian Faerie spring. Painted bright orange and decorated with pink bows." Terra uhs. "Raichu." "No, we don't argue like that. If you start, I stuff you back in your ball." "Rai." The Guardian says, "They repainted KOS-MOS?" The Guardian says, "I hope someone got a photograph." Colette Brunel says, ".. Oooh. That sounded like a cute puppy... Terra, wasn't it?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "KOS-MOS got a repait?" Young Link says, "Terra? Will a pokeball work on a fairy?" "HEY!" Terra says, "I don't think they work on non-Pokemon, Link, sorry." Destin Faroda says, "It was about a year ago, after we first found Chief Uzuki, lost in Hyrule. Ask Shion, she might have one, Guardian." Terra uhs. "RAICHU!" "Raichu is closer to a mouse, actually... Whoever that was." Young Link says, "Worth a shot." "*giggles* See, Marina said she couldn't catch you because you already had an owner." "NAVI!" "*more giggles*" Paula coughs. Colette Brunel says, "It's Me, Colette. Remember, I was asking you about Po-Key-Mon on the radio with all the other voices?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Say, Lloyd." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I don't think I know any of your friends." Young Link says, "Dating. Not owned." Heather Mason says, "I have a Pichu. He's kinda cute." Young Link razzes Paula. The Hero Of Spielburg says, "--You got yourself a pichu, Heather?" Genis Sage says, "Then you should meet me, Hero! Name's Genis." Terra says, "Ooooh. Didn't know you were on this one, too." "Raichu." "I am too paying attention!" "Chuuu." Colette Brunel says, "And I'm Colette, Mr. Hero!" The Guardian says, "Is that spelled with a J or a G?" Lloyd Irving says, "Yeah! Genis is great! So's Colette! They're both my bestest friends in the world!" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Well meet, then, Genis! And Ms. Colette!" Sheena Fujibayashi says, ".. Bestest?" Colette Brunel says, "Yes. -BEST- friends, -Best- friends." Lloyd Irving says, "...." Heather Mason says, "Brock gave him to me. They're kinda convenient. You can leave 'em in a ball for a week and totally forget about 'em. Mostly I let mine run around my room though. He's sorta smart. ... You want him?" Sheena Fujibayashi says, "Hey Professor, Lloyd's using words that don't exsist again. *snicker*" Lloyd Irving says, "What?!" Maya laughs Colette Brunel says, "... So.. Po-Key-Mon, are kinda like pets?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Hey! Bestest exists!" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "And, uh, no, I don't, Heather, but thanks." Terra says, "... Kinda." Colette Brunel says, "Hey Lloyd! Maybe you should show Terra Noishe! He couldn't be afraid of her and her pup-- Er, I mean.. Mouse!" Raine Sage sighs. "I've given up on him, almost." Young Link says, "Hey Heather, maybe Colette would like it as a welcome present." The Guardian says, "Pets are a big responsibility; you should be careful about this." Heather Mason says, "Pichu is kind of ... well... he bites." Heather Mason says, "But not if he gets to know you." Genis Sage says, "Oh, don't worry about Lloyd. Noishe's practically his brother, seeing as he used to live out there in the woods..." Terra's Raichu SNARLS at the mention of a Pichu. Terra gahs. "Down Raichu, down! Bad mouse!" Colette Brunel says, "Yes, Noishe isn't just a pet. He's.. He's special! .. NOT IN THAT OTHER WAY THOUGH." Pocket sounds a little upset - but also startled. "Anou! I didn't know Pokemon knew that word." Colette Brunel is still pretty shook up about that, obviously. Colette Brunel has partially disconnected. The Hero Of Spielburg says, "--Anyyyyyyyyway." Genis Sage snickers. Terra has another pokeball pop open abruptly. "Sable sable-eeeeye! Sable sable-eeeeye!" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Genis and Collette, huh? Who are the other two ladies I heard?" Colette Brunel says, "... Is that another Po-Key-Mon?" Colette Brunel sounds.. amazed. "... Lloyd? Can we go see Terra's world, too? Pleeeeeeease?" Genis Sage says, "My older sister, Raine, and Sheena." Terra arghs, and quickly recalls the ghostmon again. "I hate hwen he does that." Colette Brunel says, "I bet there's all kinds of cute pets there... I want to name all the dogs!" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Ooooo. Well, nice to hear you two, raine and Sheena!" Alucard says, "...Name the dogs?" Sheena Fujibayashi says, "What is with that dog naming thing, anyways." Maya says nothing but Runner barks! Colette Brunel says, ".. They're cute, and I like naming them?" Colette Brunel says, ".. Ooo. it's a puppy!" Angela | Bun-Bun *squee* Sonia Belmont says, "I actually saw one of those Pokemon once. Big one, actually, Junior's." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I have a pokemon." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Not on my anymore. He wanted to stay with the Dervish in Shapeir." Sonia Belmont says, "Strangely cute for such an animal that looked like a dog, of sorts, but was as big as a small horse.." The Guardian says, "I have - Landers, but they shrink and are rounded." Sonia Belmont says, "I think it was an 'Arcanine'." Colette Brunel says, "...." Colette Brunel says, ".. They have puppies.. as big as horses?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I think so." Colette Brunel says, "... Lloyd, maybe Noishe is a Po-Key-Mon..." Maya says, "Runner's about 9 feet tall on his hind legs." Terra says, "Arcanine are pretty tall, yeah." Sonia Belmont mph. "Still, she was nice." Colette Brunel says, "... I wanna see one of those." Colette Brunel sounds oddly like a little kid in a candy store. Sonia Belmont says, "Met her when I met Junior in person and remedied his vampiric affliction." Destin Faroda says, "I'll introduce you to Sarafina sometime, she is a sandshrew." Maya says, "Well if you want to meet, Runner some time Colette I see no problem with it." Colette Brunel says, "Okay, Maya!!" Genis Sage says, "Oh, it's Genis with a G." Kirby says, "Hiiiii!" The Guardian, as if expecting that, chirps, "Thank you!" Maya says, "Hey, Kirby." Miyuki Itsumi yawns, "Good morni... um... Evening, I guess. I need to stop working on projects so much." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Hi, Ms Itsumi!" Miyuki Itsumi says, "Hello Hero!" Maya says, "Hello, Miyuki." The Hero Of Spielburg *GROINK*. "GAH!!" *SLRRRRRRUP!* "Damnit! I told you stop doing that!" *Grooooooonk! SLRRRUP!* "...why I bother.." Jim Raynor says, "Hero? When was the last time you died?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I don't really keep track, y'know?" Jim Raynor says, "Naw i'm just saying I haven't heard it happen in ages. Looks like you manged to get over the worst of it" The Hero Of Spielburg hums. Jim Raynor says, "What? You used to die daily" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Yeah I know." The Hero Of Spielburg mmmms. "Snail pie." The Hero Of Spielburg says, "Anybody want some?" The Hero Of Spielburg says, "I wonder, thought...why are they called 'snail pies'?"
